Kanbei is put through everything possible and impossible by Reijin. Kanbei’s logical mind has run out of all options, It’s clear there is no way out. Kanbei, now connecting beyond his logical viewpoint possibility, has to face the reality others are ‘unaware’ of and would not face if they were ‘aware’. That awareness is we are connected and are different potentials and viewpoints of ourself. Knowing this, Kanbei wasn’t facing Reijin any longer, but himself.

Kanbei seeks to face this ‘awareness’ in neutral space of thinking, without judgement or adding a positive or negative ‘charge’ on the situation. He knows that being better than this or stronger than this or living in fear, only to go through this

experience in life, repeatedly, is what Kanbei has had enough of. Kanbei’s answer lies in the truth that he wants to share with the world, everything is connected.

As Kanbei’s story comes to a close, Eiji ponders over the events Master Wasabi explained, Kanbei is someone Eiji Idolized without a doubt. Eiji now knows the challenge he see’s staring back at him. Will he be as ready as Kanbei was?
